This lecture was about dissecting “Hills Like White Elephant’s” and trying to find major themes/conflict’s in the short story. During this lecture, we used pieces of paper that had yes or no written on them to answer controversial and thought provoking questions. The reason I liked this lecture so much was because everyone had to hold up an answer and participate. This really helped our class to talk with one another and in the process; it made the lecture feel less like a college English class and more like hanging with friends. There were many concepts ranging from the controversy of abortion to what type of symbolism were used in the short story but this type of learning was defiantly a positive way for the class to learn and work together.
